Who has priority?

Picture shows a junction that I use every day on my way back from work.

If there is a car waiting to turn right at "A", and another waiting to turn right at "B", which one has priority?

I would say 'B' has priority, based mainly on what I see as logical, plus maybe treating it with the same kind of approach as you would at a roundabout.

Unless car A is an Audi, in which case, stand well back. :D
 
If I was sitting at A I would treat it like any Junction or roundabout and give way to traffic exiting to my right. I always play safe at unfamiliar junctions where there is uncertainty and let the other person go first, I'm always happy to do this if it saves a coming together.

If 'B' has started to cross the A10 before 'A' has crossed the Give Way lines, then 'B' has priority.

What if neither car has moved & they’re sitting there looking at each other though. :?

At junctions, you give way/priority to vehicles coming from the right...so this situation would be no different than if they’d both arrived at a crossroads at the same time.

At junctions, you give way/priority to vehicles to the left...so this situation would be no different than if they’d both arrived at a crossroads at the same time.

Hmmm, but it's rare to find a crossroads with both roads having give way markings? Exceptions I can think of being box junctions.
 
I see it as... A's give way markings are to give way to B and the A10. B's give way markings are to give way to the A10 approaching from their right
 
There is also an element of common sense involved. If I were at B and I could see a queue of cars behind A, that extended back onto the main carriageway, then I would encourage A to move first, for safety's sake.

That often happens at mini-roundabouts. The rule then is that I always have priority as I always take the initiative.
 
If this photo was taken in India, priority depends on size... ie the following... starting from the lowest

- pedestrian
- cyclist
- motorbike
- tuktuk
- car
- SUV & 4x4
- mini Van
- Toyota land cruzer
- bus
- lorry
- petrol tanker
- tank
- government motorcade
