I upgraded to the Carver system in the '06 and never looked back. Although watching a movie whilst doing 90 on I70 was kinda different. BMW sells a facia that blends an aftermarket unit in very well. Nice but no nav unit. This was before the days of TomTom/Garmin etc.
So I went with this unit. Although the screen is of very high quality, for a roadster it was
difficult to see in bright daylight and when the sun was as at certain angles.

Its normally a green wire, this is the case across most manufacturers.![]()
