Bit of a dusting on the little hill up behind our place .. (square looking house in the centre at the bottom)
Sorry I couldn't make the pic work - had to do a link!

Nothing on the roads. So I took the Zed out. Required a little walking but well worth it for the view. The moor was looking magnificent today. :D

had some a couple of weeks back , gone after a day or so, nothing since. Been foggy and a bit of frost but lucky, no snow. (played 18 holes yesterday)

Pretty cold in Warwickshire. Spending the weekend servicing and preparing / putting the Ducati into winter hibernation in the garage

Love that log burner, what is it?

Its a Godin - made in France. We put this in about 25 years ago and its great for late autumn and winter and saves heating the whole of the house. Also good in power cuts because you can cook on the hotplate/lid under the enamel top - ask me how I know!

They still make them - a range of designs; colours and sizes in either multi fuel or gas - burning a log/coal mix today. Very toasty - cat got too hot and is now curled up as a cat ball on one of the chairs.

Did you spend some time in the Far East? We have the same rug and elephants which we bought whilst I was serving in Hong Kong  :D

None here in Berkshire - yet!

I really should have fitted the winters today though, looking at the forecast! :(

bugger - just got up to this....

car club Christmas dinner cancelled - bloody snow can sod off back to the North pole!

3 rwd cars mean I won’t be going anywhere today
Around 3” with another 9 hours of snow predicted so likely to have 6”+
Unusual for South Staffs in December is an understatement

I think I'll wait until a bit later in the day to decide whether I'll risk driving down to London at 5am in the morning.

The last couple of weeks have seen my normal 4 hour trip turn into a 5 hour trip, so I'd hate to have snow disruption on top of that.

Just for the record, I have NEVER been stuck in the snow in any of my cars - and until the Alfa, none had anything other than high/ultra performance summers on them. But a lot of that is due to not being stupid and not bothering to go out in laying snow*, or when it's -10ºc.

* except for the first couple of weeks after I got the Z4...although still had no issues due to driving carefully, watching out for others and constantly checking the level of grip.

The start & end of my trip to BMW Tring for a copy of my service history...

Loads of snow Friday and Saturday but nothing today. Been using "sludge" for the last couple of days and up the hill for a walk was -8 this morning :o
