not talking about low clearance jack but i have a regular car jack that is fairly low(2 1/2ton capacity) and it would not go under the car where the jacking point is. i always have to drive the car up on a little piece of wood to get enough clearance...

and i have sport suspension(maybe this is why?)

I have to take the little piece off of mine to get it to fit. I'll post pics in a bit.

It's a Craftsman 3 ton.

There is only about 5" from the ground to the jacking points with sport suspension...

that jack is bigger than one i have...oops u already stated its a 3 ton jack

yea i have smaller one...which would be slightly lower but still just curious what others are doing

The Sears 2 1/2 ton should work fine, but most 3 ton and above will not unless you get a low profile one.

I got one of these:

on sale for $199 delivered a couple of years ago and it will slide under almost anything.

The US General from Harbor Freight fits quite nicely as well.

Got this jack on sale for $139 as I recall a few year back at a local auto parts store...

I end up doing the same (reversing the car up on to blocks of wood) in order to get a jack under my car, but that's only since I got the H&Rs...

I bought a low rise jack at costco for 65.00 works well. Black something was the brand.............
