White Zed - Black wheels?

I am in the market for a new set of 18" wheels to replace my old and crappy 16"s...

My Zed is white, and I am thinking of getting black wheels...What is your oppinion...should I go with black, or a different colour?

what sort of design have you in mind?

could do red with a polished lip!

Personally, I'd go for smaller wheels. On the 2.0i, I'm guessing you can fit anything from 16-inch upwards. I'd personally go no higher than 17-inch, and reap the benefits from a better handling car.
 
nah...red looks too "made in japan" for my taste :)

I was thinking of the 202s, but the M wheels look nice too...so do the CSLs...

there was a thread with pictures only, regarding different wheels on Zeds, can't seem to find it though...

I would go for 18 inch, 17 might be too small change in comparison to 16?
And some shorter springs too, to make them really fit well, and while you're at it, spacers too if you're not going with a staggered set. It will really change your car.

Polished lip is nice on black rims too btw, but not sure if it would look good on a white zed.

yeah, I agree...going for 17 would be a minor change.

Is it ok to use spacers? I'm concerned that the wheels will touch the arches when the car is loaded...

Also...not sure about the polished lip...the red lip looks nice with a red interior though... :)

I have a white 08 3.0si roadster ..
And going aftermarket is totally a matter of personal preference.
I have 18' silver stock wheels which I didn't like (at first)
Went with Tire Rack for winter and replacement wheels ..
Go to their site and search wheels and tires ..
You can see what your choice looks like on the car ..
My winter wheels are 17 x 7.5 "Moda 14" which are black 5 spoke with a machined outline ...
My summer wheels are 18 "Lorenzo 21" which are 5 spoke machined with black accents .. I am very pleased with them
I have learned to appreciate my original rims after I reinstalled them for a tour and now am struggling with refinishing them with black chrome or gun metal
Im thinking a darker gray might look better ...IMO I think black hides the shape of the casting's form
With there being so few mods available on a Zed ...Wheels are one of the few left to play with.

I admit that the general consensus here leans towards CSL style
Nothing wrong with that if you want to look like all the rest out there ..
18' instead of 19" ..Another personal decision ..
I like tires that compliment the ride and look more than rubber bands ..
On a small car ..18 is enough for me ..But all of it is a personal decision ...

You can always paint your wheels another colour ...
Actually lime green seems popular with the tuner car crowd over here ..
Ive even seen several with each wheel painted differently !!!
Go figure

2b honest... waaaaay to expensive for me. Love the look of them, and certainly in black, but just not worth 1700 pounds for me
bu then again, you said you had too much money anyway: so happens I'm looking for a sponsor :evil:
