White Z4M coupe - 2009, 11K miles

So, a car that had a running in service and then an oil change 4 years later counts as a FBMWSH?

The abuse of the term 'FSH' drives me potty. If the services haven't all been performed on time, the car has a SH, not a FSH. One of the services on my 2003 Z4 was 6 months late and it kills me because it means I don't have a FSH. :(

Would looove a white Z4MC... I know what this sold for too, though I won't say as if I was a seller I'd not like that, but it went for very strong money. There's profit for the seller of course (that's their business) but I don't think it's OTT really. I'd say it went for what I'd expect it to have gone for had it been a private sale, not an auction :o

I don't know the buyer/seller but my friend was at the auction who bidded on it too, but not high enough...

Suspect you'll be ignored

At which point I will email Bedfordshire Trading Standards! Not being funny but if he is advertising a car for top money that is fine but the advert should not be misleading. For example, I doubt whether BMW would honour a warranty claim if it hasn't been serviced for nearly 5 years.

Totally agree. Bandits that have no clue what they're selling, yet want top money for what could be a crock of crap.

I suspect it'll have had many spirited test drives by employees, from cold, on 5 yr old oil. They'll have killed it on those test drives.

loads of money for sure , auction cars often sold that way due to issues that would put off possible buyers through the normal channels. even at 15k it would be a bit of a gamble as you cant drive it , limited history you cant be sure ir hasn't had major body or crash damage, cant see many on here risking a bid as we are generally way too anal !!!, different for a dealer, as they have the funds and its only another car to them so they can afford to gamble knowing that they can do a few things to it, tell customers any old bollocks , stick on a cheap insurance warranty and theyre going earn a few grand. we are buying to keep and cherish so are much more wary and demanding.

I think it will sell for close to asking. I wouldn't pay it but lots of people would. To a lot of people 26k ain't a lot and they may just buy it as a track toy or a runabout.

I don't think any Z4M's sub 15k mileage will sell for less than 19k going forward. If it was me and the car came up and I wanted it I'd pay the price, life's too short.

just curious where this all too common
, trendy office speak " going Forward " phrase has recently emerged from ? all the politicians and execs seem to be using it at every opportunity in the media lately , drives me nuts :headbang: :tumbleweed:

Oooh. Apologies, 'in the future'. :D

p.s. the return key is at the far right of the keyboard. :poke:

The problem is no one really likes the cute new Z4 so the Z4M will always remain a strong seller.

Lack of nice MRs will keep the prices high as will the exclusive white colour which is in vogue.

Way over-priced in my opinion at this price level there are bundles of options (and I'm a big fan of my M) although admittedly it's a good combo, low mileage, etc.

E46 CSL
996 Turbo (even a cabriolet) with change.
993 C2S
V8V almost.
997 C2S approved used
E9X M3 and plenty of change
RS4 and plenty of change
TTRS

I'd be surprised if it sold for more than £22k.

Also it looks a bit tired (rear hubs), centre caps, etc and the only thing keeping the value up is the mileage so if you use it and do 6/7k miles a year within a few years it wouldn't be far off some of the other (far cheaper and possibly better condition) ones for sale.

I would personally like a car in this spec but wouldn't pay more than £19-£20k.

I'm not surprised.

Curious what it sold for. £10k profit for the dealer?

Sounds like a great car.

I found out this sold at auction for £22.400...

I doubt the dealer paid £22.5k to then put it on his forecourt for £26k. He'd have to issue a warranty and tie his money down for little return.

I suspect the dealer tried selling at auction with the auctioneer pushing it to that figure £22.5, but there probably wasn't a bid and ended back on the dealers forecourt.

Either that, or I'm selling mine too cheap and I'm off to auction :D :driving: :ebay:

Yours is too cheap. Should have listed at £16.5k, accepted between £15,750 and £16k.

The way the market is you've underpriced imo.
