Good car but Mercs suck right from the minute you walk into the showroom....dealers are biggest bunch of f#%k wits on this planet.....the buying experience is important to me...

This car would definitely be a competitor to the Z4, except from one important thing; the engine choices. According to the Merc home pages the following models will be available:
- 4 cylinder SLK 200 with 184 HP, torque 270 Nm. At the moment no competitors among the present Z4 models
- 4 cylinder SLK 250 with 204 HP, torque 310 Nm. Competitor to 6 cylinder BMW Z4 sDrive23i with 204 HK, torque 250 Nm
- V6 SLK 350 with 306 HP torque 370 Nm. Competitor to 6 cylinder BMW Z4 sDrive35i with 306 HK, torque 400 Nm

I'm in the market for a new 3 liter roadster these days, and wondered if the new SLK might be a choice. But after have seen that the Merc don’t have any models that can be compared to the 6 cylinder BMW Z4 sDrive30i with 258 HK, I have decided to continue my search for the "perfect sDrive30i”.

I had a SLK 230 komp I loved it and tbh I think I prefer the merc to the new Z4 !
