Hi All

New Member here and proud owner of a Zed

My journey to the right car has been a long one and I've looked at all sorts before finally settling on a Z4

The car is Titanium Silver with Syrah Blue individual leather which I have bought from another forum member, its an 07 3.0si Manual which is a credit to its former keeper.

Picked up last night Nr Richmond in North Yorks and brought it back across the border into God's own country where it will live in the Ribble Valley.

The roads around here are where TVR used to hone their cars and are indeed some of the best driving roads in the UK

Had a very spirited drive back through Leyburn, Hawes past the Ribblehead viaduct and then down through Settle in company with my mate who has a Cayman S

The roads were deserted and a good trip soon became quite an epic drive :)

My mate had a blast in the Zed and was mightily impressed ...to be fair on the open roads there really isnt much between them .. both rather wonderful motors

Ill try and add a couple of pics shortly

Andy

Welcome to the forum, looking forward to the pics - lots of great driving roads in the Ribble Valley, but of course you know that :)

Welcome. :) Hope you washed off all the Yorkshire muck after you brought her back. Look forward to some great pictures of your shiny new P & J.

So I think I've managed to add some pics !

You can put your roof down. Puts you 1-up on your mate already :)

Welcome onboard Andy - you'll find a bit more activity here than over on the X3 forums...

Welcome
Is that the two tone leather? As in black and blue, or all Leather Syrah blue?

I have all Syrah blue leather inside a Titanium Silver body and have never seen another Syrah blue on here that's not the two tone. Mine was also registered on a YC07 reg so potentially almost identical besides yours being the 3.0 big brother.

Looks to be in great condition and glad you've already enjoyed it properly :driving:

Yes it is the "individual Syrah blue" full leather with Msport heated seats ... looks lovely in the flesh ... shame to the car doesn't have a navy hood to go with it

From what I can work out mine was originally an internal order car PDI'd at Thorne, then an employee scheme car at Bracknell

Hi Perry !

Note to self ... stop buying BMW's :)

have to admit the X3 felt huge getting back into it yesterday morning to drive to the Airport

Welcome, I think you mean that you took the car out of God's country and across to the Dark side :driving: You can take the car out of Yorkshire but you can't take Yorkshire out of the car, that is of course unless you get a private reg, YC being a Yorkshire reg

Quite delighted now .. Had the car into Bowker BMW for a full workover and an Inspection 2 service with Brake fluid change.

The Zed passed with flying colours with them commenting on how good the condition it was in :)

Now need to get the wheels refurbed and the bodywork detailed and Ill be sorted for a great summer of driving

Andy :)

Well as the bit of Lancashire within which live is in the Historic County of Yorkshire Palatine ... I can't really complain !

And some of the really great roads around here do dip in and out of the modern Yorkshire ...

Oh yes and my son will never forgive me for not visiting the Dales Ice cream farm in the Zed :driving:
