I should hopefully be up for this, I'd recommend going Otley > Pateley Bridge > Grassington > Hawes (then the Buttertubs Pass / onto Ribblehead) though - more time on some good roads rather than the motorway.

More than happy to make some alterations to the route and add any suggestions, sounds great.

We can finalise route on the day and make any sugestions. Also take turns to lead the way.

Otley works well for me, and I'd second the route choice - bit narrower before you get to the Leyburn to Hawes road but still better than motorway.

We could set a second meet point @ Otley which may be more convenient for yourself and anyone else out your way?

There's a Shell petrol station just before you get to Otley with a small road adjacent that you could fit a few cars on, you have to pass it to head up towards Pateley Bridge?

Nothing has to be set in stone and tbh I hadn't considered that. I do fancy Aysgarth.

What we could do is decide the final route on the day, as long as the person at the front knows where there going, lol

To be fair your route goes pretty much past Aysgarth anyway, although apart from the falls I'm not sure what else is there?

One often overlooked bit of road is the section from Askrigg up to the start of Buttertubs, in fact when it's clear I enjoy it just as much as Buttertubs.

If we missed Leyburn out we could shoot straight to Hawes.

Also iv seen your trip on a previous post, we will deffinetly be avoiding the A65 from Ribblehead and taking the B6479.
