White leather seats bad color fade

I just bought an 09 Z4 with the white leather seats with alcantara.

Looks like the dealer had put some water soluble paint on some parts on the drivers left bolster where the paint had faded to hide the issue, it didn't last long.

I'm sure this leather color fade is because that's an area that gets rubbed on a lot when entering and exiting the vehicle. I'm wondering if anyone has this issue, and if BMW's warranty might cover it. Otherwise i found some leather dyes on ebay that supposedly are for my car.

Any help?

Hey, my car has 42,000 miles and hasn't seen any colour fade...It may have worn badly and they tried to mask it...

It only has 15k miles.

I'll try it out, googling if warranty covers leather seats i've found people with my same problem (but other BMWs) that got their seats replaced under warranty

At 15,000 miles only you'll probably find it's more to do with something the previous owner has done to the seat! Maybe used the wrong cleaning agent to get a stain off!

You can get new leather seat covers. Not sure how much. See here half way down.

Do you have any of these franchises on your side?

Stain on the bolster is unlikely (but possible). More likely the previous owner was some ard lass that ground the crap out of it every time he fell into the car. :( Paint technology can only resist so much abrasion.

I have the white leather package which is now 3 years old and other than the black seat belt rubbing and causing some marking--this comes off relatively easy with BMW leather cleaner.
I have fitted 2no. white seat belt shoulder pads which has reduced the problem.
