whistle sound after engine warmed up?

Hi all

I've noticed that my car has started making an odd whistling sound (it sounds like an owl is going "hooooooo") when the engine has warmed up. It doesn't do it when cold, and only seems to start after about 30mins of driving. It seems to be coming from underneath the middle of the car or towards the back, on the passenger side as far as I can tell.

I've had a search on the forum but can't seem to find a solution. I've just had an oil service on Monday and only noticed the noise after that. i found a few threads where people have said it might be the oil filter, but the sound isn't coming from under the hood at all so it doesn't sound like that's the problem.

I took it to the garage where I had it serviced and they said it could be either the fuel pump or fuel filter, but wouldn't the noise happen all the time (whether the engine is warm or not) if it was this? I don't want to get it booked in to get the fuel pump replaced if that's not the issue (as I guess that won't be cheap!).

Anyone have any ideas what it might be?

Thanks!

EDIT

for anyone having the same issue, had it in the garage and they'd put one of the filters back in place wrong  luckily it was an easy fix and nothing major.

It could possibly be a blocked ccv, I've heard of them making noises before-look on utube :o
Rob

if it was something that's blocked, wouldn't it make the noise all the time instead of just when warmed up?

just had a look on youtube at some blocked ccv vids, those vids show the noise as being pretty loud under the bonnet, but I can't hear the noise at all under mine, so not sure that's the issue, it's also not that high pitch the noise I can hear

Just done the test found on YouTube of taking the filler cap off whilst the engine is running to see if there's much suction, there is suction but I wouldn't say it's strong suction, is a bit of suction normal?

Hi, it's a bit of a vague area but there is supposed to be negative pressure but not to much!

Check lower intake boot for holes around joint between large throttle body hose and smaller ICV hose
Mine was whistling:

Fuel pump whine? I'm sure mine has a tiny one, that I could hear with the roof down, might be normal. However, my exhaust mod means I no longer hear it :)
