Whining noise...

Can just about hear it - just like mine I think, tbh I wouldn't worry as long as it always disappears when the engine is warm

I was trying to find where th wine was actually coming from. The N52 engine does seem to sound pretty rough when cold

I have exactly the same noise on cold start up as on RIch-hills video. My thoughts were that it was something to do with the auto choke as when it knocks off and the revs drop the noise disappears. I've also had it up to lloyds BMW Carlisle who kept it overnight to try it from cold and they said it was fine, the noise being a characteristic of the engine.
