Whining Noise from Engine

Happy Weekend All,

One in which I was hoping to get out and about with the top down. 2007 2.5si. whining noise form the engine increases and decreases with speed/revs. I've done a bit of research and have found possible torque converter issue or even an oil filter issue which causes the pump to make noises as it tries to push oil through. Any thoughts or suggestions. Thank You

Check the oil filter. On some filters the pleats collapse which causes a restriction which causes a high pitch whine.
