Another possibility is the donut?

From what I can tell, you seem to be in 3rd gear in the latter part of the video at just over 30mph. The frequency of the knocking is about 7Hz, this would correlate with the revolution speed of the wheels. That being the case, I don't think the noise is coming from the propshaft or guibo (flex coupling in the driveshaft). I would look for loose bolts on the half shaft couplings, leaks on the diff output shaft seals (indicating failing bearings), damaged CV joint boots (indicating damaged joints) or perhaps missing anti-rattle clips on the brake calipers (causing the pads to rattle, but braking gently would cause this to go away immediately). I wouldn't rule out wheel bearing problems, but there would normally be a higher frequency rumble, if the noise changes when cornering, this may be the case, I would also check the tightness of the nut on the wheel end of the half shaft in this case.jamiez said:Here is a vid of me accelerating and then lifting off a few times

I've previously experienced diff and wheel bearing problems and that sounds wheel-related to me. Is the sound coming from one side or is it central? If it's from one side there's your pointer.jamiez said:Here is a vid of me accelerating and then lifting off a few times

Loose wheel was basically what I was telling you. Glad you got it sorted and safely!jamiez said:So - the issue is solved. However I'm quite embarrassed to be honest...any guesses
