while I'm at it

I'm going to be re-doing my "howto" threads tomorrow, as all the pics are dead and I can't find the originals.

While I'm at it, is there anything else people would like me to write up?

Definitely the Cruise Control Retrofit for me. I'd love to do this but, been as I don't have the loom already installed my confidence hasn't been very high to go and spend the money...

Much appreciated!!

How 2 clean the ABS sensors... about to do mine next week, like to know I'm unscrewing the right hex bolt

Wiper motor fix please. My wipers are good but something is squeaking and it's not the wipers because i've just replaced them.
A lack of lube somewhere? I would rather try and fix it before it dies and I have to end up getting a new part.

Wiper motor thread done - new link is in my sig.

The squeaking could be the assembly itself.. try a quick spray on all the moving parts when you've got it out and then hook it back onto the loom and see if the squeak has gone.. if so.. clean it down and grease the joints up properly.
It shouldn't be anything inside the mechanism that's squeaking so it has to be one of the joints on the bar assembly :)

Good luck Jembo I had the hub carrier of mine last week and the Hex for the ABS sensor was seized ....ended up unplugging the lead end to remove hub. Would have snapped it if I had tried harder so left it as I had already snapped my strut/hub bolt!

AUX cable,
Removal of the dash and console trim for wrap
removal of steering wheel trim for repair of the plastic (as soft touch paint comes off).

I know youve not done some of those but perhaps you know how to and if you wanna provide those instructions it would be mega helpful, sir! :D

The problem there isn't the rusting of the sills, it's the rusting and knackering of your roof motor assuming you have a convertible; when the roof drains clog and fill up the motor is sitting in water.
Easy enough to keep clean though, just feel underneath for the drain plug and pull out, clean and replace.

Is there one for cleaning out the sill drains or whatever it's called so that the sills don't rust?

Ahh yes that was what I meant :) where are the plugs situated?

Thanks

If you have small hands, feel around in the sill space underneath the centre door pillars for a rubbery plug stuck into the roof of the sill. If you have big hands then remove the rear wheel and undo the bolts holding the inner arch next to the centre pillar. Pull out the bottom of the inner arch and you'll see the plug hanging down.
