Which wheels?

Okay, it's payday soon and I want to start getting serious about one of my mods - new wheels. Currently running on 17" 103's with RFT's and have previously inquired about gunmetal CSL reps. The guys over at MStyle can supply me with staggered 8.5x19 front and 9.5x19 rears with 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 Falken 452's for a little over £1500 delivered. £400 of that is for the gunmetal finish.

As I consider this, are there any other CSL/mesh style wheels out there in gunmetal that people would recommend? Not wedded to 19" wheels either. Would go for 18" quite happily (in fact I'd almost prefer 18s). Same on the gunmetal finish. Just want a set of darker classic yet modern looking wheels to accentuate my exterior paint and impending black front kidneys; especially after salivating over tsuiesque's gorgeous NYC dock shots - which incidentally, I still dream about!

Price wise I'm fairly open to options but obviously less than the MStyle quote would be perfecto :thumbsup:
 
As it was a rather early morning post (on the way to work in coffee shop), giving another shout out to my fellow Sterling Greyers; any suggestions welcomed :thumbsup:

i personally like the z4 alpina wheels, recently noticed some nice reps which i think ill get when my current tyres are shot, so instead im having my ellipsoids refurbed, tried a diy job but got a good quote locally to have them done by a pro. here is a member elliot_holder's car with proper alpina's - not reps but gives you the look i mean

You miss out the most important measurement in your little of info, offset, offset, offset get this wrong especially with a 19x9.5 wheel and you could make a very expensive mistake.

That said you could consider these they are available from M Style, I almost went down the CSL route but could'nt find them in an offset I was happy with I got them in the following sizes 19x8.5 ET35 Front and 19x9.5 ET45, finished in Hyper Silver as I wanted them to ping out, you can have a look at them on the car here and here, they are available in a Gunmetal finish.

One word of caution I would maybe think of a different tyre as good as the 452 is it offers very little rim protection on the 9.5 wheel as I found out to my cost on the NE run a few weeks ago.

are you sure about 19? They make decent 18" CSL reps and I think they suit the Zed (if not ///M) much better then 19. :)
 
Thanks for all advice and links. 19" or 18" CSL reps are still top of my list but RichardG's upgrade especially if they're available in gunmetal for that stealth look!

Again, good advice. I'd actually rather run on Pilot Sport 2's if possible anyway as have had good service from them in the past on my old Z3.
 
So here is the choice. Any preferences? Anybody with experience of MStyle wheels as opposed to 'branded' alloys such as Velocity/BBS etc?

According to MStyle, they were going to cost and additional £400 to have painted gunmetal. Worth considering going elsewhere with them in standard silver, as you say.

I'm giving the Falkens a try but I'm running 275 in the rears as the above posters say they are slightly narrower so the 265s look a little stretched.

Cheers Z4Kid too, for the RimStyle link. Hadn't seen that site before so will get another quad shot latte, tell work I'm going to be 'a little bit late' and start looking at more circular pieces of metal. :thumbsup:
 
Looks like my plan has been slight scuppered. MStyle are out of stock on the V710's until later in the summer. :(
