HI All

im new to this website  so thought i would say hi and also ask some advice on which wheels i should get for my 2004 Z4 its a 2.2i maldives blue and currently has the horrible standard 16" wheels.

i do like the MV2 wheels but cant find anyone to supply the with the 8.5J size for the rear?????? has anyone seen what the MV3's look like on the Z4???

cheers Tim :)

Welcome :D

The MV3 look ok, there was some pics of one with them on somewhere - gwatson had them on his though he sold it a while back so Ive no idea if the pics are still around :?

Tim,
You should be able to get some inspiration from here :

I say BBS, deep dish, 19's , nuff said. You'll then prob need to sort the ride height out with some springs. Get on it !

hi

thanks for the fast response :)

i dont wanna get to crazy with it and start changing the springs etc i just cant stand the look of it as it is with these shitty wheels,

ive seen so many replica wheels on eBay at good prices i just don't no which ones to choose. :headbang: do i have to have the staggered fitment or can the fronts and rear be the same???

cheers

I know a few people here like the after market alloys - but personally I would stick with OEMs - I just feel the after market wheels cheapen the car; it's a BMW, not a Corsa - sorry to offend! The MV2's are great - they look good and on ebay you should be able to find a cheap set genuine alloys with good tyres (they have now been around for a long time, so lots on the market).

The MV3's do look good, in some ways better than the MV2's - but I'm not sure they look as OEM (which is something I am into as you might have guessed). However, genuine MV3's are expensive, they're the current wheel and in big demand.

The only other wheels I would go for are Epsiloids (rare on the second hand market - but in my top 2 for the Z4 roadster) and 108s (a little pricey on the second hand market and they can corrode if not properly finished - but the other 1 in my top 2).

Coupe & M // cars can take other styles, but I think thats about it for the roadster.

cheers.

i agree i didn't really wanna go for none bmw style like u said its not a corsa! i really do like the MV2's which is what i think ill end up having but can u tell me do they need to be staggered or can they all be the same size??? i.e 8j all round????

cheers
Tim

I think you could have them 8j all the way round - I don't see why they would not fit. However, the only problem you may is appearance - I'm not sure of the offset, but I would assume that the rear wheels maybe slightly too far "in" which may not look quite right (they may be a bit lost in the rear arches).

i have these for sale if you fancy a mini project

Rudd_2002 i do love these wheels however i just don't have the money to spend on these as i no they r not cheep! but thanks anyway!

i will keep hunting until i find some staggered i think as i will be disappointed if i buy the all round 8j ones and they end up looking stupid!

cheers for all your help guys

i would wait until you find the staggered ones you really want, however saying that the staggered set up on the 108 style wheels isnt that obvious anyway if you ask me. If you want to make the most of a staggered look, you need something with a dish/lip like i have.

The rears do look good as the staggered setup is quite obvious with the visible lip/dish. if that makes sense?

I've got MV2's on mine and I think they look great.Take your time, don't rush it an a set will come up on ebay, that's how I got mine.Defo OEM else it looks a bit "pimped" and chavvy.

Too often yes... however, yours look great and I really liked the ones littleone_90 bought recently. Some of the CSL reps look good too.

Don't really remember seeing any Z4s where they've got it wrong... damn we've got good taste!
