Which wedding ring for me?

I'm getting married in October. I ordered 1 of the following rings below 3 weeks ago, but I now want to change. Which one would you prefer? The prices are the same. I have to make up my mind ASAP.

Ring 1: Grooms 18ct White Gold Polished and Brushed 5mm Wedding Band

Ring 2: Grooms 18ct White Gold Heavy Court 5mm Wedding Ring

Ring 1 will wear/scratch more on the raised part so will look two-tone eventually whereas ring 2 will wear evenly if that makes any difference?
My wedding ring is like ring 2 but platinum. I like it as it'll never go out of "fashion" but in sayin that I don't
think ring 1 will age badly either.

Yeah, congrats Ksher. Are you sure your doubts about the ring are not actually doubts about the wedding...? :? Just kiddin :P

I'd go for 2... the first one looks too polished.

If you're having doubts about the one you chose perhaps you have already answered your own question?
I would say ring 2 but then not one for jewellery. Haven't got a wedding ring, wife wasn't too keen on guys with jewellery and who am i to argue, suited me fine. :)
I think actually her argument was that if we saved money by not buying me a ring we could spend more on hers

Whatever you buy, they eventually disappear in your finger so it seem.

I have not been able to get mine off for at least 10 years now, I am sure my wife ordered mine a size too small :D

Are you sure about white gold? It's a real thin coating and will need redoing every couple of years.
Mrs CJ has some and they are a pita.

Keep with plain design never in or out of style and congrats :)

I had to have mine made smaller and it is still loose...

too much cycling...

Thanks to all of you. Platinum is doubled the price of white gold for the same design though. The money was spent on her diamond engagement ring last year.

I actually ordered Ring 2, but I now found out it is too common. Everyone I know has exact the same design. Ring 1 looks bit different. But I have to agree that the surface will be scratched more easily.

You can have one in Tungsten and Carbon fibre, which look good.

All the best for the big day

I went for Palladium earlier this year.... was suggested by the jeweller in Aberdeen as an alternative to white gold as it does not need re-dipping and is approx the same price as white gold ... i.e. a third the cost of platinum.

I tried the line of having a wedding watch rather than a wedding ring... but SWMBO did not buy this...

Good luck with all the plans for the day trust the Zed will make an apperance on the day

May I suggest an alternative

Good one Nosa.

I say. Keep it simple. A ring does not make a marriage. It's just a symbol. What's in your heart and head matters more.

Congratulation and best of luck

Nah, ENGAGEMENT watch, then a wedding ring. I managed to have that suggestion approved with Jo :D

I prefer ring no.2 - IMO wedding rings should be traditional: plain gold or plain silver band, nothing fancy.

We went a bit different with ours. My ring was my Dad's ring. I took it off his hand before he died. My wife's engagement ring was her Grandmothers Wedding ring and her wedding ring was my Grandmothers engagement ring.
Hmmm, all three people passed away before we met....hmmmmMMM

Oh yea, BTW, go with ring #2, IMHO
