Sim, you're saying you prefer the autobrite black magic, to both the Megs and Sonax?

Is the auotbrite easy to use?
Autobrite Black Magic is a paste wax not a QD... different animals...

I have tried most QD's out there..

Sonax BSD is the daddy...

Yes its a bit milky and does need a little more work to get off the car but totally worth it..
Have you tried it on untreated paint? Didn't you find the beading didn't live up to the hype? I compared it to the megs qd with protection you can buy at halfords and they seemed the same. I but 1 coat of autobrite black magic on a couple of weeks later and the beading/sheeting was 5 times better so I didn't think the extra hassle of applying it was worth it.

What do you mean by 'untreated paint' - if the paint is rough because it's covered in contaminants then a wax will give better results as it coats everything with a (relatively) thick layer.

I will hold judgement until I clay the car but I have a spare bootlid that I compounded and panel wiped before applying the qd and had the same effect. I've been meaning to try it on top of my month old wax to see the effect so I've still got a bit of experimenting to do.

I use the bulk meguiars last touch... bought it as it was on offer at the time, dirt cheap. I can't say its great, its just ok. Easy on and off but not quite the shine you can get with other products. Good enough to remove any water spots and leave a nice wet ish finish though.

Yeah as said it's a paste wax. Quite like it tbh but my favourite is dodo purple haze pro.

Sorry - I meant work-wise  I thought I remembered you mentioning that you work in the City, is that right?

My offices are just south of The Walkie Talkie so I could bring some up to town with me

Dodo juice red mist and Autobrite project 32 are my favourites, but need to try some of this sonax BSD next.

my bulk detailer is autobrites berry blast as its dilute able

This was the beading When the Sonax was used..

I had topped with Collinite 845 insulator wax about 2 weeks previous...
