981 pdk would be lovely.
The basic version is 265 bhp or the S packs 315 horses.

Don't know if yellow is an easy option.

This is the new Boxster maybe the best porka ever made.

Go for the 'S' Carol :driving:

Don't know if yellow is an easy option. But here is one http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/boxster-981-12-current/boxster-roadster-3-4-s-2dr-pdk/1993052

.1 of a second faster to 60 than my Z4 ! much better handling, cheaper tax but more to run in every other way possible.

This is the new Boxster maybe the best porka ever made.

That's a beauty.

My money would be on the 981 for value.

But the running costs will be always more than the BMW.

Did look at many cars before the Z4 porka being a very close second.

Carol please be specific. Do you want a ragtop or a coupe. ?

New(er) or old ?

I have a 2002 Boxster S, handles insanely and has a massive sunroof. Yes , the old ones had to have the intermediate shaft bearing replaced due to a design issue but that's done so it's good for another 100K.

The boxster has two storage spots, I can get lots of stuff in it. The cayman is a boxster without the massive sunroof.
My 911 has only one storage spot and the ridiculous back seats which are 99% used for storage. and it has a small sunroof. and 385hp and lots of cool stuff but seems to cost as much as a fighter jet. I exaggerate a little, it's only 45% more than a Boxster or a Cayman, though I gotta give handling to the Boxster/Cayman over the 911. That 200lb shift of weight at the back makes a difference.

I love driving both and SHE wont let me sell the Box so....I'm screwed.
a C4S 911 Cabriolet would be the only thing I would consider in place of them. :driving: Or maybe a Targa :D

Do you need 4 seats or want 4 wheel drive

If yes the 911, if no then save the cash or buy newer and get the Boxster/Cayman

New Boxster.

Had Boxster S and 911. Smiles per gallon = Boxster every time. You need deep pockets or warranty for most 911 ownership. Handling of new Boxster is sublime and the perfect all-rounder. Porsche ownership is very snobby and Boxster owners are often accused of owning one because they can't afford a 911, but trust me I've done it and if it's my cash that's being spent then it's a Boxster every time. Just my 2p's worth

I keep looking at Caymans as well. Not driven one though as I know that if I do, I'm 100% sure I'll be signing my life on the line and driving away with one :(. No self control whatsoever.

Thanks mcbeee, good helpful info.
I would prefer a ragtop of course but not overly fussed.
