Which Part of the Country is This?

Hello,

I was watching the BBC show Escape to Country, and saw this amazing place in the intro :o :

Now that I've seen it, I can't un-see it... Therefore I have to find this place and blast through its winding roads, top down, with the Zed. :driving: Does anyone have any idea where this place may be? (I know it can be anywhere in the country, but suggestions for similar places are also welcome.)

Please help me find this place! ... and I shall pay you back in the form of nice Photos from the place.

That's a tough one :scratchhead:
Reminds me of Wrynose pass in the Lake district (or Hardknott pass)

Marlon you are a genious!

It is exactly the Wrynose Pass. Look at this photo I found in Google Maps:

Compare the shape of the trees behind the lake and you will see this is exactly the same place!

54.419662, -3.101253 Put these coordinates to google maps and look towards the lake in Street View :o

WOW Marlon.... Just Wow...
Hatts off Sir!

Could you Not re watch the programme on iPlayer an see if they mention where it is

Unfortunately this bit is shown in the intro. It is unrelated to the area featured in individual episodes. But we have found it anyway :) .

It is settled then!
I shall drive to lake district and share photos of my trip in here.

The reason I bought the Z4 was to give myself another motivation to go out and see the natural beauty of this country myself.
This shall be an excellent addition to my list of places to go this Spring-Summer season.

Yep ! But it isn't much of a trip for me as I live about 20 mins away - http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=84156

Effing marvellous, guys... Well done!

That's just crying out for two wheels in the summer.

We don't have much of anything like that on the south coast ...and a lot more pot holes for some odd reason.

You will have a marvellous day - some great driving roads. Here is a road trip thread of our Cumbria day last summer - it included Hardknott and Wrynose passes: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=79877

Excellent topic! I will re-visit your topic when I'm at the planning stage. Thanks for sharing that!

Yup tis Wynnose pass alight. Drove through there Back in August. Start at the coast a do the Hard knot first it's got one particular corner on the way up that had a lot of water ruining over it, when we were there. Got very side way around that one. :D Don't often get away with that with Mrs G aboard.

Just realised I never did write up our trip from this Summer. I can feel a new thread coming on. :)
