Ok so ive decided i want a Parrot kit but im not sure which one to get??

ive seen this
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...uctId_569633_langId_-1_categoryId_165571#tab1
and think it might be a good option?? is it worth getting the Halfords idiots to fit it for me as well for the sake of it?? ive been told i will need an adaptor cable as well and they would have to order this, does that sound about right??

also does anyone have any pictures of theirs installed and where they have the remote placed?

edit - just seen this

http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/13863834/Parrot-MKi9200-Bluetooth-Car-Kit/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518%7Ccat:13863834%7Cprd:13863834
much cheaper!

thats brilliant thanks, although im thinking of just getting the Halfords lot to install it for me as im not technical at all when it comes to stuff like that!

is the display removeable or does it sit on your dash all the time?? can i put taken down and hidded??

Just got my Parrot MKi9200 fitted yesterday. I've just posted a question:

http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35320

I'll give you a better view after a bit more usage. But I made two calls driving at c40mph with top down and up and could be heard clear and well in both. I could also hear the other person easily with plenty of volume spare. I've stuck the remote in the gap above the hazard & door lock buttons but below the gear stick.

The screen is removable and It comes with a little soft pouch for storing away if you choose.

Hope this helps.

Personally I think the MKi9100 is the best kit for a Zed. Reason being the screen is smaller than the 9200, therefore more discreet.

Cheers,
John

PS I paid about £250 all-in including fit for mine.

Years ago we wanted a parrot - so we got one - it was a Great Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. We didn't know what kind of parrot it was so in the end I waited until I had taught it to talk and then I asked it. We had " George " for many years until one Christmas Day he keeled over after a seizure ( common among the parrot family ) and fell off his perch stone dead. This happened while we were all watching " Only fools and Horses" and put a real damper on the day for us and the kids. Got worse the next day because after we had ceremoniously buried him in the garden our dog dug him up and was running around with him in his mouth.

Its funny how you remember these things!

I have the mki9200 and think its great USB input is perfect, with all my music on a $5 USB stick, no iPod wasted in the glovebox.

I made the guide above, it's pretty simple once you get those damn aircon vents out. And remember to keep updating it, when new iPhone iOS come out, the parrot usually requires updating to keep everything working perfect.

I'm really tempted to just order it from play.com then get the adaptor myself as well! Does anyone know which cable/adaptor I need??
