Which one?

RR or Q7 for me, I drove my friends X5 last night when 6 of us went out, very barge like, he said he should've had a RR.

Drive all and see what you think.

The one that breaks down will be the RR, the one that looks fast but is not is the RR Sport, the one that drives like a barge will be the Q7, the one that is tiny is the Q5 and the one that is the fastest will be the X5.

There is no "best" option as such as they are all so different. If you drive to your oil rig, you will need the RR (or RRs). If you want the quality and the best performance, you will end up with the X5 and the Audi offers neither really.

I know I'm going to be alone here but Q5 :D

+1. I'm with you sars, we've got the 2.0T special edition petrol as my wife doesn't do many miles, and I have to say its wonderful! Fantastic build quality and a great engine with plenty of poke.
But don't know what condition you'd get for £18k!!

You might be looking at high miles for an £18k budget. Best value in that market at the moment is the XC90 as you'll get a 3 year old with less than 20k on the clock.

Is this in addition to the Murano Hunter or instead of?

Other alternatives - a Land Cruiser? or Cayenne/Touraeg? Presumably if you've got to go up to Aberdeen from Nottingham and back on a regular basis then a diesel would be essential as the others will cost you an arm and a leg in fuel bills?

Nope - I prefer it to the others too Inkey$. The rest are all a bit too drug dealer/bouncer for me.
Exactly. The XC90 has good space, economy, safety and IMO looks - without the need for blacked out windows, chromium trim or a vaguely menacing design subtext.

As your not going to get a low mile Q5 diesel for the money, I would have to agree with Inkey$ and OG and say XC90 :D
