can anyone tell me , can carly software on phone connect to a elm327 wi/fi adaptor , or must it be a carly one
or is there any software to code my 2003 z4 with the elm327 adaptor ?

In short no.

I think some people have tried it but the software isn't designed to be used with general adaptors. It's locked up so it only performs with the Carly specific adapter. I'm not sure if it's locked carte blanche or if it works with some options and not others.

If you're going down the buying route I'd definitely recommend it but it's quite expensive if you're not going to make good use of it.
 
Carly adapter for OBD port using Apple.
I’m 30 miles north of Aberdeen if anyone needs a hand!

MODS- what about a map for people to add themselves to if they can offer others Carly type help?
 
Few people have asked but tbh I haven't had time. There's a site zee maps or something I recall. Generally speaking you know the areas round in a 50mile or larger radius? So a quick read through the second post and you can see what's close by...
 
Anyone got Carly in Norfolk
or do we have any other members in Norfolk ?
I've ordered a Foxwell NT510 which is great for diagnostics, code clearing, registering batteries and injectors etc.
