I don't use the Zed at night but that's not to say I won't be at some point during the summer so to improve the candles currently fitted to my bog standard halogens, which of these options from ECP with 25% off and free delivery would you choose?

Any experience of any of them would be appreciated as I know Marlon champions the Osram Nightbreakers.

TIA.
Neil.

Philips White vision are most definitely not xenon effect. I had them on mine and ended up giving them away to a mate. Currently got crystal vision in, which are whiter in colour, but obviously the whiter they are, the less light output there is.

Cheers Ben.

I'd read they were pants, nice to have a forum member confirm that!

HID kit - higher initial outlay but at least double the effective output and only £12.50 a pair to replace. 2 years and still going strong on the initial pair.

I currently have the Phillips white vision xenon effects and they're terrible. Honestly I wish I hadn't bothered fitting them!

Thx Steve but I'm trying, as best I can, to keep the car as stock as possible (ignore the stubby and ZHP :D).

Also, the HID kit, as you say, is a cost I'd like to avoid when I can slightly improve the lighting for £11.24 as in the Osram bulbs.

I was all over the HID kits when others were saying the lights were poor but my night driving is very very minimal.

If they're only £12 then fair enough - but HIDs are only £55 and totally removable, 4300K looks just like an OE set :)

I have the Osram as secondary flash to pass on both the Zed and a jag and work well.

Just remember to get more light out of a halogen bulb they make it glow hotter by using a thinner wire. That means they burn out quicker so figure replacing more often.
Any reference to xenon is really a con, either a blue coat on the bulb for the chav look, or xenon gas filling the bulb ( instead of another inert gas). Neither make more light, but great marketing.

While I don't like hid's in general as they don't focus well, they give the amount of light required, really cheaply and can be removed in minutes to revert to OEM.
