I looked at the Dinan Free Flow Exhaust Part Number D660-0026 @ $899.00 dollars, installation extra. What does everyone recommend? I am looking for a bit more sporty exterior tone on my 2.5i. I already put in the sound generator that helps the interior a bit (foamless) of course. Thank you for your advice my fellow Zeddies. Zinkster

What sounds good to you may sound like crap to me, and vice versa. If you are just looking for better sound, only your own ears can guide you. (You won't gain any performance...you know that, right?)
Many people have let local shops remove the center resonator or replace the muffler with a "generic" performance muffler (Magnaflow, etc.) and enjoyed the results. This would be be far less expensive, but may or may not suit you tastes.

Please don't just remove the center resonator.

I'll admit that I did that to my '04 3.0i and it was a terrible idea and one of the most pointless $100 I've spent.
Get a quality exhaust for your Z4. Here are a few selections in the order of loudness:
