which engine/model

I am in serious need of a z4 I am looking at lots for sale and would prefer a 3l si but they are few and far between in my area, can anyone shed some light on different engines 2.2, 2.5, 3.0i. I have never driven any but im coming from an audi tt 225bhp 1.8t and would like something to match or out perform this.

You're looking at a 3.0 really. 234 bhp no turbo, but should do the job. The 3.0SI's are out there if you're patient and that will give 265 bhp :evil:

Depends on the weight of course, a caterham with 200bhp would pull away from an M car

I went from a TT to a Z4 2.2 and regretted not waiting for the right 3.0 to come along.

It was a fun car but that lack of punch disappointed me.

3.0 or Alpina / M if you can afford it.
