Which engine is in my z?

I'm a little confused here. I always thought my car was a 2.5i with the 192bhp engine. I bought some bits from BMW the other day and they listed my car as an SE on the receipt. Does this mean I have the lower power 2.5 litre engine? The car is a 53 plate but was registered in january 2004. Can anyone clarify for me?

You've got a 192bhp engine. The 'si' variant (and detuned 2.5SE) were the facelift models only.

I think the preface lift 2.5i only came in one state of tune...

post face lift they introduced two states - 2.5i and 2.5si to cater for the lack of the previous 2.2 in the new range...

also pre-facelift all cars I believe were badged/described as SE...

of course I might be wrong

Damn confusing that there are three different 2.5 litre engines with 177, 192 and 215 BHP though :?
