Which car to swap my Coupe for

:cry: I am moving soon(0-9months), and my commute to work will increase from around a 5 mile round trip to 80......

Obviously i need to look at swapping mine, the idea is a diesel :headbang: :cry: and i think i will look at an auto also.

I have been looking at Golfs and a look at some A3's but its trying to find the options i want etc after being spoilt in the Coupe!

Budget is around what i can sell mine for, so lets say 9k as i have to tax whichever car also.

I did lose it a little bit and looked at Lexus is250 se-l's but i think they will be too un-economical.
I want heated seats, auto lights and wipers(I just like gadgety modern things) thats really the only things.

What do you guys reckon i should go for?

I had a 120d Coupe before i bought this one........i should of kept it :rofl: . I have really enjoyed the Coupe and i am going to miss it :(
 
I've run 2 118ds over the past 5 years, first was an SE and second was an M Sport and was very pleased with them both, only problem I had was the particulate filter failing on the SE but replaced under warranty. The 120 and 123 will be even better. I still prefer the old E87 M Sport looks wise to the current F Series.



Theres the Golfs/A3 etc but all look bland to me.

I'm going to be changing to a 70ish mile commute in a few months too, which isn't feasible in the M without a significant pay rise.
One option I'm seriously considering is going electric....
At 80 miles though you're cutting it fine with the range, unless you could charge at work (or have a spare £60k for a Tesla :rofl: .
There are some great deals around on the Nissan Leaf, it might be possible to pay for a PCP deal including battery rental and cost of "fuel" for around £200 a month for my mileage. A months season ticket for the train is a more than that.

Would be interested in knowing the details of your coupe if you were going to sell in the next few weeks! ;)
 
When the time comes that I need more than 2 seats, I'm going 645 or 650 and converting it to LPG. It will be cheaper to buy and run than a diesel and I won't have the concern of what the government is going to do regarding diesel tax and the depreciation it will bring!
 
As others have said, it's got to be a Beemer in either hatch or coupe form. RWD and if it were me doing your mileage, I'd start looking at something like these...

I think i may of decided on 320 Coupe, i just like the interiors compared to all the competition.

Just need to find a nice one now then sell mine :)

Is that 320 diesel or petrol?
