Which car history checker?

Hello - quick bit of advice wanted.

I'm doing a bit of car shopping to replace our old golf, wondered whether anyone had any recommendations as to which car history checker thingy offers the best bang for buck? Google turns up loads and I can't remember which I've used before.

Just want to check the usual stuff from the number plate prior to viewing. (I think usual stuff is stolen, outstanding finance, insurance writeoff marker, etc?)

I've used hpi check, think they have a deal on at the mo, 3 cars for £34.
