Which brakes? Confused

Hi guys,

About to order some brakes -
Can get ate from disks but there are lots of different varients for rears-

1. Zimmerman rear brake disks- £116 each side

2. Pagid rear brake disks- £107 each

3. Jurid rear brake disks - approx £220 all in for rears

Which ones?

All are fine for the rear so take your pic.

I think that only ATE and Zimmermann make front discs, availability varies though

If you order the Pagid rear discs from ECP at the moment you'll get ATE discs from BMW as they have no Pagid's in stock for the foreseeable! :D

Well my mate has found a set of front brake disks by EBC for £265.

345mmx28mm.

Think I may just order them. Anone have experience of using these?

They were being sold by demon tweeks - spoke to them and they said that they arent in production anymore. Apparently EBC had a big batch made and then sold out.
No cheap option of getting the brakes done on these cars. I'd put it at around £600 all in for brake disks and pads - front+rear

£600 is a good price for front and rear discs, pads and warning wires.

Yup you'd be doing very well to get all that (OEM stuff) for £600. OEM discs all round cost about £540 alone for me, and I thought that was cheap!
I would say possibly upgrade pads while your at it, won't cost a lot more and you can get better than the ATE ones for sure. Would stick with ATE discs though. Like I said earlier ECP are doing rear discs for around £200 at the moment, lisited as Pagid but you actually get:

:D
And hopefully end up with something like this:

If you replace the handbrake shoes by the way, go for OEM, I ditched the Pagid ones as I've heard they're poor and don't hold well compared to the ATE BMW part :)

So I got Pagid front disks and pads ordered from Euro carparts
Zimmerman rears + pads
brakewear sensors

In all cost £595.

Inspection 2 service with my own parts provided is costing me around £1000 all in. The car is then going up for sale as its not practical for me. My mate had it for 3 years and needed money due to unforseen circumstances and i jumped at it.
Absolute beauties but need the extra room. Although I suspect I will probably want to keep it after everything is done and shes ready to be driven properly. At the moment just parked up :-(

Ecp have been showing rears as out of stock for weeks...? Did you call? I called Thursday with reg and part number from their site and she confirmed they had no pagid or Zimmermans. Gave me to other part numbers but would rather buy from bmw on eBay for piece of mind, albeit likely £250 total.

ECP dont have any zimmermans in stock. If you do it over the phoen you get aftermarket ones for £100+ VAT.
GSF however do have zimmerman rears in stock for £170 off per side. - A bit dear in my opinion.
Been told that they make superior disks?

I ordered online, waited a few days and phoned up and asked about the status of my order, the guy conceded they wouldn't have Pagid in for some time and would order the parts direct from BMW instead as a like for like replacement. Don't see why this wouldn't work for other people, if you order the Pagid's just phone up a few days later and make it clear you need the discs pretty quick.
My first set got lost in the post but they were quick to replace in fairness so thumbs up from me for ECP
