Hi all,

Looking to retrofit an aux-in cable point into my ///M. It's got DSP so I know that restricts what'll work.

Can anyone recommend me a kit that works please?

Thanks!

I have this in mine which I'm impressed with. Gives you a USB connector so you can plug an iPhone / iPod in and it'll give you the track names on your sat nav display if you have one. Also adds Bluetooth for calls although you can't stream music over it.

Thanks, but I'm hoping to just get the aux in cable on its own, for far less money :)

Ah, sorry!

I had a Dennison Ice Link in my last one which gave you the option of a 3.5mm connector as well as the USB but I don't think it worked out much cheaper than the Dice one.

Hi mate
Got mine from bmw cooper at Durham
£60 but it fits directly into fittings at rear of radio I have the professional system fitted
Then small3.5 jack plug fitted to plastic in bottom of dash
If you know what you’re doing(by the way i don’t) it’s a very simple fix

Thanks Geoff. I think I'm just a little worried because it's different if you have the DSP (digital sound processor) option or not. I think it then requires different plugs?

Google Fruity car cables is your best bet..lot of us running it on the site..think its around 15 quid these days and he will also send specific instructions for which type of hifi you have in the car

I used a basic cable in mine and it didn't work, apparently if you have DSP, NAV and Bluetooth (as I do) you need something with some resistors soldered into it....

I'm in the process of trying to source an original BMW kit from Cotswold BMW - I'll post my findings as soon as I know!

Thanks Paullyjay

I've ordered the fruitycarcables kit and a Bluetooth receiver, will also post my results next week :)
