Which are the rear springs to buy?

Hi Guys

I fear I may need new rear springs as I think one of mine snapped today, I can't be sure yet but it's likely! So what make do I buy, I have read about Suplex and I know a few on here have got them but the reviews for their products are poor with quality being questioned! So what do I buy and I don't want the height changing at all so I need to replace like for like, I know Eibach are well liked but they lower the car don't they and I don't want that. Any help much appreciated.

Suplex springs are poor? :o Where have you heard that? Many on here have them and they appear to be better quality than BMW OEM rear springs which seem to fail around 30,000 miles.

Oops well I just googled Suplex springs reviews and got some bad reviews but obviously from what you say they are better than the OEM springs which is great as Sheffield is on my work patch :)
 
Get your vin, look it up to figure out if you have the sports suspension or not then give duplex a ring and they will either sell you direct or point you to their local supplier. @£50 quid a corner do both sides. Handbrake off (from our recent posts), jack up, take wheel off, take shock off bottom mount (1x 18mm bolt), pry wishbone down and pull spring out (kinda fidly on your own to pry down and remove but manageable) reverse steps to put the new one in.

If you have a local supplier then you will be done in less that 2 hrs from setting out to fetch then.

I think the criticism isn't the suplex springs, they are Defo better than the ones took off, but more if the design of modern springs with the little pig tail curl as it seems to be that bit that snaps off.

I have just been on their site and can't find any at that price and it doesn't really give you much information or even a picture of the spring!
