Which Angel eyes LEDS

Hi All,

Recently purchased a z4 sdrive28i msport in alpine white and its an absolute joy!

The only issue I have are the angel eyes (pre 2014) and i'm looking for a white led upgrade.

Can anyone recommend me a brand? Ive seen a lot about lux and mtec but not sure which to go for or if their are any other to consider?

Can anyone recommend and post pictures on theirs?

Also has anyone retrofitted the LCI headlights how much would this approx cost?

Just buy a pair of H8 Led bulbs on eBay (search for bmw e89 led h8). Don't buy something too high powered as it's a waste of power but note that most of the bulbs that are advertised as 80w are actually 50% of less of that s I'd buy 80w as I'd want a true 40w. Should be approx £50. Fitting is really easy, actually it might be the easiest compared to all other BMW models :D — just undo the cap for the lights, replace the h8 bulb and then close the cap. You can be sloppy on the install and It'll still work perfect.
 
I have a LED 40w set if you want to try them Tony..
£30 delivered..

Work a treat, no bulb warnings... Had about 1 hours use maybe..
 
LUX do a nice set, but it's a premium price here in the UK. We have some of the LUX v3's which are still looking good after 3 years.

I've fitted a set of these:

I'm very happy with them for the price but I don't know how they stack up against the likes of LUX H8 160. With the HIDs on the angel eyes look virtually identical to the latest BMWs. As DRL's they're very bright and infinitely better than traditional H8 bulbs. The inner rings are noticeably brighter than the outers but that's unavoidable given the construction of the light unit and the position of the bulb holder.

also has anyone one got the lux set H8 160 and can show me a picture?

I haven't seen any in the flesh but I suppose the LUX ones might be better - I just didn't fancy paying 200 quid for them!
 
I've got the Lux ones, a tad expensive but I get loads of good comments about them.
