Where to put "stuff"

Crivens - this has moved on a bit.

Great phots Voodoo - really useful to see how you've done it.

Dry run packing was a success - not least because I got a mate to agree to take a load of stuff for me (well, the tent and sleeping bags) in his much roomier Skoda VR jobby. Realise now that I should have taken some phots to show how much stuff I managed to cram in  - but I'll do that when I unpack at Le Mans. This time next week I'll be on my way - having ironically come back from France the day before with work

I'll wait to see the weather forecast the day before I go before I decide to stuff bits in the gap where the roof goes - I'd hate to have to drive down with the roof up if it's blinding weather!

Thanks all for the tips and advice - muchly appreciated!

Your welcome..!! It's good to share different ideas on the forums. Hope it gives some ideas.

BTW, I'm coming back from hols in Brittany on Sunday 14th and just so happen to be returning to the Tunnel via Le Mans and the N138. Keep an eye open for the silver Z4MC with the number plate that matches my username..!!

Will do - but be advised it will be chaos in Le Mans and "les flics" will be patrolling the N138 heavily!

O/T
When you say "chaos", is that in huge jams and delays or just some petrol fuelled harmless fun? I may navigate slightly around it if jams and delays prevail. I shan't be doing any speeding, I can ill afford to give my money away, let alone to Les Flics, my (ahem) retro-fitted cruise control will ensure I stay sat on the limits. :x

O/T again (sorry mods)

Huge jams and delays - it can take longer to drive than to walk near the circuit... :o

O/T :?

Do the jams and delays reach out as far as the A11 which runs from the west to the north of the town, then joining the A28..? http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=&vps=2&jsv=160h&sll=48.055595,0.248566&sspn=0.226266,0.617981&ie=UTF8&geocode=FSSK3AIdswcDAA&split=0 This may mean a substantial diversion for me, so apologies again to the mods...
