Stupid question I know but where do you keep your document wallrt/handbook. Dosent seem to fit in glove box or door pockets!

even the handbook on its own does fit easily - bright ideas please

Do you have a cargo net attached to the passenger side of the transmission tunnel? That's where my handbook etc lives.

Mine's in the boot too.

Probably a good idea in a ragtop anyway, since the vehicle registration and insurance docs are in there as well.

:o really???

I'd never leave that sort of stuff anywhere in the car. TBH I don't even carry it with me.

That's interesting.
Here in Japan if the cops pull you over for anything, they'll want to see your license and vehicle registration. It has to stay in the car. If there's an accident they'll want to see your insurance as well.

Yeah, different in the UK. Registration docs stay at home. You have a few days to produce them at a police station if you're pulled over or have an incident.

we have a week to produce them, although I I have heard it is supposedly an offence not to carry them. The two don't sit happily side by side :?

Police can check on the database to see if you're insured or not. I carry a copy of the Insurance Policy covering letter which has my policy number and the phone number of the roadside breakdown assistance. I would never carry the V5 documents in the car!

All documents at home including handbook.

If I ever read it it's when I'm home and can carry and PDF copy around on my phone as well.

Back to the original question the wallet will fit in the glovebox you just have to improve your technique when closing to make sure it doesn't foul the catch.

Yup... +1 for a PDF of them all using AirShare on my iPhone, though as others have said, they already know if you're MOT'd, taxed & insured by the time the Rozzers speak to u, so mine's hidden away at home...

Second - need to push it as far back as possible and close glovebox quickly...!

Think I'll do as above though and put it in the 'amp' slot next to the battery. Sounds a good spot.

doing so means you can't get anything else in the glove box though - I have far to many wires and plug sockets in there to do so :D

This is ok until you find you have a leak.
