Where to get BMW parts?

Can anyone recommend me some good parts shops? Im looking for a few items, namely cruise control stalk and auto dimming rear view mirror. Google searches are giving my sites that don't stock much for Z4s.

Soper's in Lincoln do a discount if you speak to Jamie and mention the forum.
One of the guys will give you some better advice on where else soon I'd think.

Might do - be worth the 10% discount for sure as I think the 108s were the most expensive option wheel. IIRC a set new from BMW will cost you the best part of £2k ?
 
Just checked the BMW shop on eBay - a front is £510, a rear is £535.01... So a total of £2,090.02 for a brand new set :o

alloywheelsdirect.net have them (real ones) and they are £1900 just for the wheels....

I really hate my OCD sometimes.... :headbang:

What did you buy ZV ? And did you get better than 10% ?
 
I bought some 1O7s in 2010 - I can't remember the exact discount as they rounded it down to a round number - but memory serves it was at least 10%
 
I spoke to them yesterday, got a great price on a new set of 108's...

Just having a chat with myself if I can justify it on a car I've not even had for a week yet.... :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I phoned sopers on Monday and ordered some new bumper brackets and headlight covers. £70 lighter for a few pieces of plastic :(

Cruse control including the wiring loom was £90. Trying to find a breakers with a stalk seems to be impossible so I might just bite the bullet and order it from them as well.
 
Got my cruise control stalk from www.quarrymotors.co.uk not new but It has hardly been used! Good price too :thumbsup:
 
On the subject of cruise controls... Why do the stealerships think reprogramming of the car is required? Looking at the how to thread everyone gets on fine with the straight fit.
 
I had to have a new xenon ballast recently and chandlers BMW in Hailsham, East sussex quoted £479+vat thats for supply, fit & reprogramming? :x

I got a genuine one from bmminiparts for £78 and fitted it myself! I think stealers are trying to justify their outrageous prices! :thumbsup:
