Where to fit my ipod mount

Hi

I am looking at fitting the Dension kit to my car,, I`m looking at the Brodit clips to mount the Ipod on, it seems there are only two available one that fits on the centre console and one on the dash by the vents,, my question is, has anyone fitted one in thier car and if so which is the best place to put it?

I fitted mine next to the ac controls although my ipod is in the glovebox, this actually hold my phone pad
