Where to cut headlights?

I know it's been covered to death, CJ's guide is great but I need to know:

A: Where specifically do I cut the lights? Do I cut the lens or the black backing or inbetween?

B: what sealent is best for putting them back together?

Many thanks tried search and after half an hour gave up! The title of the post isn't the best

Terry, did you get the amber LED's to work ok? If so, any chance of a link?

Not a link for them, but i just wrapped the amber covers in one way mirror film so you dont see the amber through the lense.
Hope we can wipe the slate clean with our bickering

Don't use Evo stick like JE said!! How many times has JE split his headlights???

I've done mine once!! Tiger PU adhesive or don't bother! :lol:

Replace the rear covers as JE says!

DON'T USE YOUR OLD BACK COVERS!

LED's fitted!

LED's flashing!

Don't skimp on cheap materials or your be doing it all again!

TAKE YOUR TIME & LEAVE THE SEALANT TO CURE FOR 24hrs!!!
