Where to buy?

Dear All
please be kind to me as I have just joined the site, :D I don't own a Z4 (yet!) but am seriously considering buying one (clearly for the right money) but wanted to ask if there are any other good sites (apart from this one of course  ) where people are selling their beloved Z4s (I watch Ebay, pistonheads & autotrader) but are there any others? I'm considering a 3.0 automatic but am drawn to the Alpinas - although really out of my budget which is around the £12.5K mark, I would be happy to buy from a private seller or trade (depending on warranties etc). Any helpful hints to find the right car gratefully received.

Thanks, Hughie69

Hey and welcome :D

sounds like you are watching most of the right places already

Also check out your local area for car traders and their websites...

You've pretty much got everything covered. Autotrader, Model-Specific Site (Here), eBay, Pistonheads... There aren't really many other places to look, except for your local garages, and BMW AUC.

cool - thanks for the replies, I didn't want to miss what could have been a great place to look  I am in no rush to buy so will keep on searching and reading this site to find the one I want

Go onto the main BMW UK site and you can search locally or nationally for secondhand Z4s at BMW dealers. You can narrow searches down to mileage, cost, accessories etc. This will give you some idea of prices and whats on offer.

i looked in all the above mentioned places, but ending up buying the first one i saw which was advertised on this forum and pistonheads. there are a few for sale on here at the moment that might interest you.

Yep -you have it covered. For that money you should be able to pick up a pre facelift 3l auto with quite a decent spec - even sat nat if your lucky!

thanks, hope to get a good one and as I'm in no rush can afford to find the right one

Welcome

Where ever you purchase your Z4 make sure it has a good history with all the bills and get the car checked over they are not cheap to repair or replace parts.

Traders that sell only BMW may tell you they are approved by BMW they are not if you want BMW Warranty and backing you have to buy from a main dealer.

All the best in your search and take your time do not rush into the first car you see unless its a good one i have a 3.0 Auto they are a lovely car :D
