Where to buy some half decent car mats

My Z4 Coupe didn't come with any floor Mats, I think the genuine ones are £80 or so which is a bit pricey. Any suggestions on where to source some decent aftermarket ones?

I would like to know the answer to this too, ebay seems to throw up loads of differeing quality/price. Would be nice to get a recommendation from someone or even a steer of what to avoid.

Thanks in advance

Derek

I went with mrcarmats.com for the wife's car - prestige level - and they are pretty good mats, about the standard of OEM and came with all the fittings. Been in the car 6 months and still look like new.

Thanks Mark, had a look at those. Did you go with the cheapest ones or something slightly better?
As long as they don't ruck up or let dirt cling to them too much I don't mind!

I went with the more expensive ones, the prestige level. Can't vouch for the quality of the others though...

Mrcarmats are quite good quality but the customer service is shocking. Sent mine with different clips on passenger and drivers mats that fell apart. Colour also wrong which they didn't care about.

Would never buy from them again.

You don't say what you mean by 'decent', so I don't know if you mean 'cheap', 'hard wearing', 'luxury', 'good value for money' or something else?

You can get very decent sheepskin/lambswool ones (had them in the rear of a XJ6 I had), but if you think the BMW ones are pricey you won't be buying the lambswool ones - plus they wear out quicker than the synthetic ones.

BMW do 4 styles for the Z4: city, velour, all-weather and maritime. The all-weather ones are the hardest wearing and easiest to keep clean.

Alternatively try (not a recommendation, just from a quick google search) places like Ultimate Car Mats, Autostyle, carmats.co.uk, simplycarmats.co.uk, etc.

You can get them as cheap as £25/pair, or as expensive at £300/pair - it's up to you.

I've got the Autostyle ones in red. The only pity is that they come with push-through fittings rather than the velcro of the originals.

Do they sell weather tech over there. They're full rubber but have a guarantee and are model specific. Or are you just looking for new carpet mats. I drive my z daily so I went with weather tech. I've had them in the past 4 cars I've owned.

I've seen the Weathertech ads in Motor Trend (American mats made by American people using American machines in America), so I suspect they don't do RHD versions.

I got mine from the stealers. And they stole £94 for the privilege.... I like 'em though

blimey. The E89 ones I have were just £39 from BMW
why so expensive?? :?

Doesn't £94 get you the two that go behind the seats too ? I need new ones :(

Sopers may be able to give a better price on OEM with forum discount.

In my first Z there were two wee mats behind the seats. Foxed me too, but looked nice when I hoovered :idunno:

I noticed a set of mats for sale a while back and they had 2 wee mats like they were for back seats. I remember thinking "Idiots, clearly not Z4 mats". Obviously I was wrong.

Yeah, waste of money really, but I do have cubbys and do go behind the seats, and it did look kind of nice and complete.

Out of interest I do want some too although I want whatever ones came with the z4m as standard? Anyone here that can link to the genuine ones that are 'shipped' with the Z4M?
