Where to buy MAF ?

I unplugged my MAF to see if it would help my power dying off at 5k revs - lo and behold it did and it would rev all the way to the redline.

So I'm going to buy a new MAF , only thing is theres a big difference in price. Euro car parts one was like £300 !

Theres various ebay ones from £50 - £60 , anybody bought a cheaper one and found it works ok ?

How about cleaning your current MAF with one of the Air Flow Meter spray cleaners available?

I've got a couple of problems with my 2.2i that I'm putting down to the MAF. I'm tempted to try cleaning it for the sake of a tenner before splashing out on a new one.

It's worth a clean first.

Buy cheap, buy twice - though as long as you get it from a business seller with a registered address you should have an easy time returning if it fails within 6 months.

I bought mine from europarts, if you watch their site or have used them before and get e-mail updates they do regular sales with 25% off and flash sales with 30% off. I got mine for £230 last year. No problems since I fitted it.
