Where to buy Battery in Canada

Can anyone suggest where I might be able to get a decent price on a replacement battery? I live on Vancouver Island and the dealer in Victoria quoted me $310 CDN.
 
I trashed the battery in my Z3 and had to get an OEM one from BMW so the price seems about right . I don't think much else will fit will it ?? Try crossing the line to Bellingham or so and check their prices. I've been getting stuff at 2/3 the price from Arizona. (I'm not suggesting you go to Az , it's just that I go there fairly frequently.)

Check the dealerships websites , some of them have online parts ordering or 1-800 numbers.
 
Sorry, I checked and there are no dealerships until you get closer to Seattle. When do you need the battery ? Now I suppose.
 
Interstate makes batteries that will fit or so I am told. They are the right size and have the required fitting for the vent tube. Their battery is about $160.00 but I understand it is a different type of battery technology than used by BMW. Interstate Battery does have dealers in Canada. Check their web site.

Thanks for the info. I know I should have bought a battery when I was in Arizona in December. Now I have no plans to go across the border for a while. Living on the Island is problematic as a trip to the mainland and back for one person and car is $110. Will check out the Interstate lead as there is a dealer in the area. My Zed is resting this winter, and I don't need the battery until April.
 
BCRED, most stores won't stock this battery for the Z4 and will likely need to special ordered so don't wait until the last min... :thumbsup:
 
BDRED, I'm driving down to Az at the end of next week (Friday) and coming back for the following weekend.( in a pickup). I will be driving to Seattle later but not until the end of April and usually go across the line at Sumas. I doubt if this works for you but let me know if I can help out.

Thanks for the offer McBee, but the logistics probably will not work. Any savings will probably be lost by trying to get the thing to Vancouver Island. I have friend who drives a Beamer and he was shocked that I was trying to shop around for a battery. He said that if you can afford to buy a BMW you should be prepared to cough up what the dealer wants. Anyway I will post what I will end up doing. Thanks again. GO CANADA!!!!!!!! Those golds are just pouring in!
