What's the usual format/rough guidelines for organising a forum weekender?
I've biked/weekended all over Scotland and summer can be busy with tourist traffic which can be a PITA...sounds selfish but clear/light traffic is more satisfying for a trip....midges are seasonal and rain in "summer" is a given at some point.
We're heading up to Oban at the end of March on the Friday after work and then up to Aultbea for Sat night in the hotel with friends......probably going to spend in the region of £350 all in which always seems like a lot of cash for a short weekend away.....hence we go abroad driving for holidays....cheaper fuel,decent rooms for £30 to £40 in Spain,sun's always out and no traffic off the beaten track.... Oh,nearly forgot the decent wine and beer at proper prices for a Scotsman!!
