where is the best place to get the BMW aux input adapter?

If you are going for the actual "IPOD Adapter" it should work with the Carver, all I know for sure of is the Aux Input. Install of the panel is a cinch, the panel pops right out (held by a few small plastic clips) with a small screwdriver or knife. Drill a hole and counter sink the back a little larger to allow the jack head to fully pull through (I used a 1/4" bit used to drill doorbolt holes on the backside :) )

how exactly did you secure it to the panel? does the end screw in to secure it?

That's the cable. I just used compression on the panel between the jack assembly and the end screw, or you can mount it with the label plate to achieve the same thing.

:)

Ive put mine in the same place as ovrkll, also without the label plate - makes for a very subtle installation :)

I like it!

ok, well in the interest of us all doing this differently:

i installed the aux adapter, popped out the part of the center console with the change holder and various buttons, guided the wire down the front of the passenger side of the center console and popped it out. then i pulled out a good length of the wire and ran it back to the side of the passenger seat, shoving it back up under the center console as I went. then I plugged my 3.5mm wire in and wrapped it with electrical tape.

^^ Pics please, kind of hard to understand exactly where you placed it. May be a good idea/placement for someone else in the future
