Where have all the North East runs gone...

Re the runs: We're disappointed and frustrated too - just been one family concern after another and family come first. We've managed to get out on runs in Scotland and to the National but have not organised our usual hoons and tours. Steph retired at Christmas and we were looking forward to more of the same this year but we have 8 children between us and three of them have needed our input (pretty important and life changing episodes - it happens) and then sadly the shock of Steph's fit and active Dad - strapping 6 footer who's worked outdoors all his life and been as fit as a fiddle (farmer) hit out the blue by cancer and given 6 - 12 months
. We are up and down to Cambridge where the family farm is and managing the kids (adults not kids) stuff but we've needed the flexibility to travel whenever needed.
However, things have moved on a bit and are beginning to settle so we may try to set some up - we'll post up when we can.
All the best - we will get back to it eventually . . .

Hi there Mr G, as Paul has said he has been rather preoccupied. We have had a few great runs which have been suggested by one of the other usual participants,but usually at short notice. It would be great to see you again, even have a think yourself about organising something and let us know we are always open to suggestions!.
Really sorry to hear that Paul, we are getting to the age when we have responsibility for everyone it seems. young and old, hope things level out for you soon
Portoz4, I doubt I could do anywhere near as good a job as paul, will keep my eyes peeled for any runs tho, I bought a little clio as a daily and need to rag my coupe around some corners soon...

Sounds like a track day is in order . . .
As Paul and Dave have said we've done a few things between us but nothing organised on the forum. Paul has had a busy first half of the year, as for myself I've had a few things on but can't believe it's almost August this years catching me by suprise. I might think about organising something but it won't be for at least another month.
As for the north east gang I haven't seen much of them mid week with having commitments myself work issues. (Will text them after writing this post)

I'm needing a run or 2 when I'm on holiday next month, perhaps Paul could do one of his Scottish Borders runs?
