Where do you put your phone?

One of these, mounted on the window above the driver's side air vent:

The power cable is tucked into the steering column surround and goes down to a USB/Bluetooth dongle in the cigarette lighter. I use the phone for everything - nav, phone, music etc. Luckily my car is flimper spec.

The pukka Bmw phone cradle (iPhone)!gizmo seems a bit of an expensive phone charger and I would guess most of us use some sort of case anyway !

I use a CD slot holder.

Fits fine, and holds the phone in a decent eye line. I don't really use CD's anymore, so only use it in conjunction with the aux socket or when using google maps on the phone.

I have been using one of the Kenu vent mount holders for my Galaxy S5 for a few months and its been great at holding the phone in place http://store.apple.com/uk/product/HFQS2ZM/A/kenu-airframe-portable-car-vent-mount-for-iphone

Same here but for my Sony Xperia Z. Works great.

+1 I thought it was kinda expensive when I bought it but works really well. Used it in my Z4 and 350Z and works on both vents so really universal

Garmin has some nice, robust holders for iphones. They are ment for the window w/ suction cup, but I have one fastened on the panel above ashtray.

Those Kenu Vent mounts can be picked up for pennies on eBay. Bought one a few months ago. Think it was £3

In the ashtray for me, I took out the sort of lining of the ashtray so it goes much deeper and then you can actually pretty much angle your phone in there securely and its in a good enough location to use as the satnav with turn by turn instructions and also your right next to the charger!

I tend to put it between my legs. My wife asked me if I was concerned about the possible radiation damage, but the phone is insured.

My smartphone is simply in my jacket pocket. I don't have bluetooth (yet) in my Zed but I do in my 2 other cars. So I just leave my phone in my jacket pocket and use the bluetooth function to make calls.

Some of us drive our Z`s in the summer.
If it is a good summer (or spring) I don`t wear a jacket :lol:
