I have the leatherz armrest and it's well worth the money
I originally bought it as I had a bad back and it 'levels' one's shoulders, as the standard position is poor due to the uneven centre console and armrest.
(I bought mine on eBay, it was black so had to dye it cream to match my interior)

because your arm would be at a greater height?Idea of the arm rest with space under it is good but I don't think it looks nice in the Z cabin, just dnt look right and looks as tho it wud make pulling the handbrake a lot more awkward. Just buy a semi rigid glasses bag and shove em in the side pocket. My mobile also stays nice and secure on the rubber dash above the radio.

But with regards to making the handbrake awkward to use, no. It doesn't get in the way - infact with the armrest being there you get extra leverage, so you can raise the handbrake with your arm flat.

Hands up all those that have actually used the first aid kit??? why not just move the first aid holder from the passenger seat to the drivers seat.... lets face it unless you cut your finger the last thing that you will think off if you have a bump is the kit under the seat and besides the contents wont last forever..

just in my toledo the arm rest down gets in the way of the handbrake. cant give it a good pull if im parking on a hill without having to move the arm rest. shame they didnt build one into the car during production. andysat im talking about the rubber like dash across the whole width of the car. its grippy enough to hold my phone inplace whilst on the move! no need to buy a phone holder.
