Where can I get coolant

I've read all the threads about which coolant to get, not mixing them etc, and I've been to Halfords and seen their mutli colour offerings.

And I've surrendered and decided to just go buy some original BMW coolant. Problem is it's 3.15pm and all service departments close by 1pm.

Does anybody know anywhere else I can buy BMW coolant on a Saturday or Sunday. Apart from the fact I'm meant to be driving 200 miles tomorrow,.. my car will be parked up until next Saturday if I can't find any this weekend :(

Distilled water should be ok for your drive tomorrow. The odd 1/2 litre won't hurt. Just remember proper coolant for the next time....

ferrelscent - I've had a similiar question, which cropped up yesterday. I looked at another thread but need more help.

Who's coolant has needed topping up? And do you know why it could be lost slowly? Speaking to my Indy garage didn't help me much - he said 2004 onward the coolant is lifetime. Well my brother doesn't think it could last lifetime of the car without needing topping up or losing it's effectiveness.

Please can the knowledgeable help?? :headbang:

The coolant level was really low - the floater was at bottom. Filled it with some cooled down boiled water for now. HELP! :?
