Google is your friend srhutch... And age

I'm the same age as you :)

I know - we were alive when this happened, and probably using full sentences... As marty said, you were close :D

I have no more photos, so I'm not telling

That makes it even more frustrating :headbang:

Will have to google it as you say

Somewhere opposite Kensington Park?

It has to be just south of it, but I'm crap at football so have no idea on that clue, and London isn't a strong point either

Ok, so I think you're here....

19 Prince's Gate, Westminster, but that would mean that the second clue would be 50m West, not east?

Hope I'm wrong tbh....scary stuff if I've found you!

winner winner chicken dinner!

The Crystal Palace was directly across the road, built for the Great Exhibition of 1851

The Iranian Embassy is 50m East...thats the side the sun rises! As close as I could park, lower roof and take a few snaps without arousing the suspicions of the armed police still stationed outside!

JonZ4G was right...but perhaps not using conventional knowledge
Bing i think had it, but same as me with lack of pictures
Wondermike had Kensington

I will eave it to you gentlemen to decide on the winner...but please keep this thread running!

I think that a general locale should be sufficient... But you have to announce the winner Marty, that appears to be the way it's done

WONDERMIKE is the WINNER!

let's see your picture

(JonZ4G how did you do it?) :?
Well I got close (by thinking about the Iranian Embassy siege) but I will confer for two reasons - firstly I just don't have any pics of interest and secondly JonZ4G got the correct answer.

On your pic the number 19 can be seen on the columns of the entrance.

So JonZ4G - over to you

Once I figured out that the SAS clue was the Iranian embassy, it was Google Earth, to get 50 metres west of that, which gave the street name as Prince's Gate and the number 19 is in the picture....

I've got a rubbish picture that I could upload later today (both location and picture not interesting), so if anyone else wants to pitch in before this evening, please do.

I'll jump in with an easy one

Clue... 'I love a good tart'

That isn't reference to the girlfriend!

To keep it quick and easy here's one dans sa réponse. Whilst listening to Paul Weller's 1980 rant and about to do likewise in a two car zed convoy
